Privacy policy

We collect only what we need to run your account, teach you and improve the courses. We don't sell your information, we don't use advertising trackers, and you can turn off learning insights at any time.

• Account details: your name, email address, sign-in details and two-step sign-in settings.
• Plan and payments: your plan and its status. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Learning progress: lessons and action items you mark as done.
• Applications: what you tell us when you apply for Platinum or Black Label.
• Region: whether you're in Australia, worked out from your connection or your choice, so we show the right wording.

We never collect what you type into worksheets or calculators. Those stay in your browser.

To improve the courses we record which lessons you open, roughly how long you spend on them (rounded to 30 seconds), when you reach a lesson your plan doesn't include, and which free calculators are used. Calculator use by visitors who aren't signed in is recorded with no account attached.

You can turn this off on your learning insights settings, which also deletes what we've recorded about you.

We count how many people open each public page each day, and where they came from (for example a search engine, a social site or one of our links). These are daily totals: we don't record who you are, your IP address or your device. Two small cookies of our own make this work: one holds today's date so you are counted once a day, and one remembers for 90 days how you first found us.

If you create an account, we keep that first source (such as “google” or “newsletter”) and the page you first landed on with your account, so we know which places bring members. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we don't keep a source for you. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

If the AI study helper is available to you, your questions and its answers are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce replies. Anthropic does not use them to train its models. We keep chats for 30 days so we can check the helper is staying within its rules, then delete them. You can delete your chats sooner from your account.

Never share passwords, seed phrases, private keys or exchange logins with the helper or anyone else.

To run your account and membership, give you access to the right lessons, keep the site secure, answer your questions and improve the courses. We email you about your account and, if you ask for it, the newsletter.

Only the services that run the site for us: Supabase (accounts and data), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), our email provider and, for the study helper, Anthropic. Some of them store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

• Account and progress: while your account is open.
• Learning insights: 12 months, or until you turn them off.
• How you found us: while your account is open. Daily visit totals hold no personal information.
• Study helper chats: 30 days.
• Payment records: as long as tax law requires, usually 5 years.

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account. Email us and we will reply within 30 days.
