Matthew and Maharani Machmud didn't set out to build a charity. They set out to build a business — one rooted in education, integrity, and the belief that financial freedom should be accessible to everyone.
But Maharani's roots run deep in Indonesia. Her family is there. Her childhood memories are there. And so is the stark reality she witnessed growing up — children without safe homes, without consistent meals, without the basic security that so many of us take for granted.
As CWG grew, and as Matthew and Maharani found themselves in a position of genuine good fortune, a question became impossible to ignore: "We've been given so much — what are we going to do with it?"
The answer was the Amanah Freedom Fund. Not a corporate social responsibility checkbox. Not a marketing campaign. A genuine, personal mission — rooted in the Indonesian value of Amanah (sacred trust) — to use the success of this business to find 500 children a safe place to live.
